On July 7th, I sent the following message to pro-transgender researcher Jack Turban via his web site:

I am a liberal Democrat, and I am gay, and I read your recent article on the CNN site in which you say that a person's gender identity is more important than his physical gender, but you are wrong. For thousands of years, the gender of human beings has been determined by the sexual reproductive system of the body. Biologists still determine the gender of animals that way, and human beings are animals. Whether there are male and female characteristics of our brains doesn't really matter – there are so many more gender markers in the body than there are in the brain that it makes no sense at all to determine a person's gender from his brain. Examining the brain involves giving the person an MRI or CAT scan, while examining the body is much easier than that.
Are you suggesting that people's brains be scanned to determine their gender? No, I don’t think you are. You are suggesting that we simply accept their gender identity as proof of their brain type – but that is anything but scientific. It leads us to circular evidence, as follows: Female identity is proof of a female brain type, and a female brain type gives rise to female identity. There is no science in that.
The way that you simply dismiss the gender of the body as if the body didn't even exist, is totally absurd. I'm talking about this statement: "Though some conservatives have a strange obsession (!!!) with focusing on other elements of biology (i.e., genitals and chromosomes), it doesn't make scientific or medical sense to give these unconscious parts of our bodies primacy over our conscious brains, where gender identity resides." HUMAN BEINGS ARE PHYSICAL CREATURES, so yes, the gender indicated by the body is all important. If a person with a male body has a female gender identity, that doesn't change his basic biology – it just means that his identity isn't consistent with his actual gender. That's what gender dysphoria is.
You don't look like a trans man, so I can't understand why you would take such a bizarre position. One thing is clear is that you are choosing trans women over real women in their conflict over women's single-sex spaces. Your logic is bizarre, as is your scientific understanding. And by the way, the redefinition of “gender” to mean “gender identity” is NOT SCIENCE – it is simple semantics, and most people don’t go along with it.
What you are doing is promoting transgender ideology with all of its unscientific lies. Eventually, transgender ideology will be discredited as the self-serving philosophy that it is – to wit, “I feel like a woman, and that makes me an actual woman, and that gives me the right to invade all of women’s single-sex spaces.” You should be embarrassed for being so transparently stupid.
